Signs Your Ghost Controls Welding & Fabrication Is Failing

• Gate sags at rest or drifts off the closed position. The post bracket weld has cracked at the root, letting the operator arm settle lower than its designed geometry. There’s a safe middle ground here. You can check the Ghost Controls model number, photograph any cracks, and verify whether the bracket bolts are tight with a socket wrench. What you shouldn’t do: grind into a load-bearing weld without supporting the gate weight, or attempt to re-weld aluminum with a flux-core machine from a home improvement store. The gate is under spring or gravity load even when the operator is disconnected, and a bracket failure during repair can drop 400 pounds of iron without warning.
